Moorland Heating successfully completed a comprehensive property renovation project with Plumbing and Heating in Downfield, Plympton. This extensive renovation included full rewiring, replastering, and new flooring throughout the home. Additionally, a new bathroom and kitchen were installed, along with a new boiler and central heating system, which featured new radiators in every room.
The Challenge
For this Plumbing and Heating project in Plympton, the Downfield property required complete re-modernisation, presenting a great opportunity for the Moorland Heating team to showcase their skills. Our apprentices participated in the initial rip-out phase of the project, which involved stripping the property down to its shell. During this process, they gained valuable insights into the building’s structure, learning which walls could be removed, the locations of main pipes and wiring within the walls, and how to dispose of debris safely. We collaborated closely with local businesses to handle various tasks, including plastering, electrical work, and flooring installation.
The Solution
As a team, Moorland Heating installed and fitted a new bath/shower room, complete with full aqua boarding, a vinyl floor, a towel rail, and a full bathroom suite. We also designed and installed a new modern kitchen, along with new appliances. Additionally, we upgraded the heating system by installing a new Alpha E-Tec boiler and new radiators throughout the home.
The Results
The final outcome of this Property Renovation, Plumbing and Heating project in Downfield was a stunningly modernised two-bedroom property, ready to become a happy, comfortable, warm, and welcoming home. Since the work was carried out during the summer, we even tidied up the garden and repaired the garden shed. It was impressive to see what the Moorland Heating team can accomplish.
